About Us
Holroyd Community Development Association established the Centre in January 1990 and continued to sponsor the Centre until incorporation in 1993 at this time changing our name from Girraween Before and After Care Centre to The Girraween Activity Centre Incorporated. To reflect our expansion to three centres in May 2008 our name was changed to "Activity Centres Incorporated"The Centre was set up to cater for the needs of working and studying parents with children aged between 5 to 12 years attending local primary schools.
The Centre opened its doors in January 1990 inside the grounds of Girraween Public School and remained there until the big move to St.Anthony's Primary School on 15th December 1995. Known as Girraween Activity Centre.
In January 2001 we opened our second centre in the grounds of Toongabbie Public School. Known as Toongabbie West Activity Centre.
In January 2005 we opened our third Centre in the grounds of Beresford Road Public School. Know as Beresford Road Activity Centre.
Our Centres operate 5 days a week, from 6:30am to 9:00am for before care and 2:30pm to 6:30pm for after care, during New South Wales school terms.
We operate vacation care from the Girraween Centre from 6:30am to 6:30pm during New South Wales School holidays.
Our centre is close between Christmas and New Year and all New South Wales Public Holidays.
