Service Support Coordinator - Full Time - Start February 2019

Service Support Coordinator, Full Time  Start date 4/2/19 (negotiable)

This Position will suit an experienced Coordinator who is able to easily adapt to change.

Hours per week 38 which will be made up of a variety of time spent on the floor at all of our services during operating hours and time to complete admin tasks outside operating hours.

Start and finish times will vary each day between 6.30am and 6.30pm , depending on what shifts have been allocated.

Applicant must;

  • be available for flexible shifts between 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday
  • have a license and own vehicle as you will need to move from Centre to Centre, sometimes at very short notice.

Position Objective.

  • The service support Coordinators role is to work collaboratively with each service coordinator, our educational leaders and any relevant staff to ensure all of our services are actively working through the goals set out in the quality improvement plan.
  • To work collaboratively with the manager and assistant manager to ensure that all ACI services are compliant with the Education and Care services National Law and Regulations,  this includes the development and review of Policies and Procedures on an ongoing basis.
  • To regularly evaluate all service QIP’s to ensure they are relevant to the daily routines and practices at each service.
  • To work at each service on a regular basis during operation hours to ensure you are familiar with staff, children, families and routines.
  • To fill in for any of the service Coordinators by working all their given shifts while they are on leave and ensure that the service is operating effectively in their absence.
  • To support and mentor our educational leaders to ensure they are meeting the terms of our license agreement by providing and evaluating an educational program.

Essential criteria.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law
  • Experience in OOSH
  • Experience in policy development and review
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • To meet the relevant criteria to be able to sign in as the Responsible Person
  • Current working with children check
  • Current First Aid, Astham and Anaphylaxis certificate

The ability to;

  • Set and implement goals and document progress and follow through to ensure goals are met within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Mentor teams and motivate staff.
  • Work as part of a team, and independently.
  • Use your initiative and self-direction to complete task relevent to your position.
  • Problem solve and/or  redirect staff when things are not going as planned.
  • Research to ensure you can keep yourself up to date with any changes in any  Regulation, Laws or standards relevent to OOSH
  • Adapt to regular and short notice changes to your work day as you will be expected to work across 4 seperate locations on a regular basis covering shifts for staff who call in sick at short notice.
  • Attend and actively participate in any meeting/ training relevant to your position.

 

Permanent Educator - 20 hours - Start January 2019

Permanent Educator 20 hours per week – Start date – 29th January 2019 (Negotiable)

We are currently looking for a Permanent Educator to join our OOSH team, 20 hours per week, (maybe 30 hours depending on enrolments)

Hours will be from 2.30pm to 6.30pm during school term time, it may also include morning shifts 7am to 9am, pending new enrolments , (30 hours per week)

  • Knowledge and skills in use of smart pads, tablets or similar technology and a variety of software/apps eg. Facebook, itunes, photoapps, programming apps etc. or commitment to learn
  • Ability to work in a team and implement service program, policies & procedures
  • Ability to show initiative and self-direction
  • Commitment to further learning & development of knowledge & skills eg. Inservices, training, qualifications.
